Brick Farm Lakes is a fantastic trout fishery open to the general public all year round, pre-booking is not required. Our oak-framed lodge overlooks Brick Lake and a offers a warm welcome with tea, coffee, a licenced bar and other refreshments.
Located in an area of outstanding natural beauty near Herstmonceux in East Sussex, we have four lakes totaling around 6 acres which are stocked with rainbow, brown and spartic trout ranging from around 2lb to over 12lb! We have been told that we are one of the leaders in small stillwater fishing and that our friendly and personal approach to running a business is sure to make you feel welcome and comfortable.
We have Four lakes: Well Lake is the top lake, spring fed, deep and fairly clear. This lake feeds into Stag Lake which benefits from clear water and great views up the valley. With nothing to catch your fly on whilst casting it is an ideal lake to practice on. Spring Lake is our newest lake. It has beautifully clear water with depths to 22 feet. Brick Lake is the original lake - it is very picturesque with lots of different options for approaching the water with varying depths. This also has good clarity but can cloud up after substantial rainfall.
All our lakes are well stocked and the current record since our ownership stands at 13lb 14oz!
On arrival to Brick Farm please follow the road to the Lodge to sign in, purchase your ticket and have a chat with us or have a look at recent catch reports.
We are keen to encourage juniors into the sport and therefore we allow juniors (16 and under) to fish on their Guardian’s 4 fish ticket. In particular this avoids the unnecessary expense of multiple tickets and encourages juniors to take up the sport of fly fishing.
We also hire rods, nets and tackle bags, please see our prices page for more information.
Our friendly team looks forward to meeting you soon!
