March 2011 fishing report
Spring weather is producing some fine fighting fishing whilst the memory of the long harsh winter fades – so sun hats on, coats off. Also Brick Farm Lakes now has a brand new oak frame café lodge providing 21st century facilities for those requiring a little more comfort whilst still providing an excellent day out at a beautiful simple rural fishery. Breakfast and lunch are available, so bring a friend to enjoy the countryside. Look out for the wildlife emerging from hibernation including buzzards in the sky and thousands of spawning toads in Well Lake.
Recent rainbow catches include a 5lb 6oz by R Burt from Rye on a Black Midge, a 4lb 2oz by W Pothecary from Eastbourne on a Gold Head, a 4lb 10oz by Karl Lewis from Brighton on a White Lure, a 5lb 2oz by Andy Boyling from Lancing on a Secret and a 4lb 5oz by B Wood from Eastbourne on a Fritz.
