November 2011 fishing report
With Autumn refusing to let Winter in, conditions have been great for fishing over the past month with catch rates over 90%. The track down to the lodge and lakes has been resurfaced making for a much smoother drive and Well Lake has been much cleared of weed and reeds. Homemade mince pies by the warming wood burner are being enjoyed by all. With cold water and a lower sun the fish are very active. Flies working include Cats Whiskers, Bloodworms and Montanas.
Recent rainbow catches include a 6lb by Daryl Planson from St Leonards-on-Sea on a Damsel, a 5lb 3oz by Fred Mitchell from Eastbourne on a Buzzer, a 5lb by Robin Booth from Heathfield on a Viva, a 4lb 8oz by Nigel Duckworth from Hailsham on a Diawl Bach, a 3lb 14oz by Gary Hunt from Hailsham and a 3lb 13oz by Jean Scotford-Smith from Windmill Hill on a Cats Whisker.
